What up Fam, As Im gearing up for the release of my new mixtape Rhymes Are Easy, Life is Hard I decided to drop this freestyle over Rick Ross’s “Mafia Music.” (This will not appear on the tape). If ya’ll decide to post here is the explanation that goes along with the track.
I was deeply influenced by mid-90's underground hip-hop and Stretch & Bobbito's was THE PREMIER underground radio show in NYC at the time. I would sit and listen to their shows dreaming of one day getting my shot. I finally got the chance to play my demo for Bobbito one night and was crushed when he simply said that he "didn't like my voice." I swore that I'd quit rapping that night, but when I woke up the next morning I felt empty and just needed to write a rhyme.
I've gotten a lot better as an MC since that night and as I get set to release my new mixtape "Rhymes Are Easy, Life is Hard" I figured I'd bless ya'll with this freestyle explaining how that one night with Bobbito changed my life! PS. No shots fired at all. I love Bob and have always appreciated his honesty! That dude is a legend.

Well I could have predicted this, KiD CuDi takes back what he said about retiring, and plans on continuing his career. Not sure if it was just a lame publicity stunt or not, but his fans are gonna be happy regardless. Here’s a video of the show he almost missed, and where he announces he is in fact NOT retiring.

Skee.TV gives you exclusive access at the South By Southwest music festival with Kid Cudi as he narrowly makes his show and announces he isn’t retiring after all (in response to his own blog entry saying he was quitting hiphop). With an electric energy in the crowd after the club owner stated Cudi was a no show & the performance was cancelled, Cudi runs on stage at the last second after missing his flight and performs some of his favorite material, freestyles for the crowd, and mistakes Austin for Houston!
